Prizes (any prize may be refused):

  • First Place: $500; Presence in and free copy of Best New Sci-Fi & Fantasy of 2004; conventional publishing contract (to be published by June 30, 2005)
  • Second Place: $250; Presence in and free copy of Best New Sci-Fi & Fantasy of 2004; Free Bronze Self-Publishing Plan
  • Third Place: $100; Presence in and free copy of Best New Sci-Fi & Fantasy of 2004; Free Bronze Self-Publishing Plan
  • 16 Honorable Mentions: Presence in Best New Sci-Fi & Fantasy of 2004

Winners to be notified by June 30, 2004. Winners list to be posted on the Gom Publishing website. To request a list of winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Gom Publishing up to 12 months following the contest end.

Royalties: Equally shared among all 20 placed authors.

Rights: Writer's retain all rights to their works. Winners simply grant Gom Publishing, LLC, the right to include the short story in Best New Sci-Fi & Fantasy of 2004.
